Plastic Free Ecochallenge
Plastic Free Ecochallenge is a 31-day global campaign offered in partnership with Columbus Zoo and Aquarium, helping participants reduce and refuse single-use plastics. This was my first year at Ecochallenge.org and my first time leading communications for a public Ecochallenge — 6,055 participants across 46 countries, 71% of whom were joining for the first time.
The challenge was to create social media content, email campaigns, and short-form video that recruited new participants, kept existing ones engaged throughout the month, and made the work of going plastic-free feel accessible and achievable.
My role was end-to-end communications — writing and designing social content, producing email campaigns to recruit and re-engage participants, and creating short-form video to promote the campaign and engage participants throughout July 2022.

Marketing Kit
I designed a full marketing kit for participants to share on their social media platforms during Plastic Free Ecochallenge. The kit was downloaded by thousands of participants and used by partner zoos and aquariums, including the Columbus Zoo, to promote Plastic Free Ecochallenge.
