#WednesdayWisdom

The challenge was that many climate and sustainability terms can feel abstract, technical, or overwhelming, which often leaves people unsure how to engage or where to begin. With 90% of Ecochallenge participants joining for the first time, we needed a way to introduce key concepts in the climate space that felt accessible, relevant, and empowering rather than intimidating. Ecochallenge.org is designed to meet people where they are, while also offering practical tools and education to support more sustainable lives.

My role: Working closely with our Programs Manager, I helped identify common climate and sustainability terms and events that were unfamiliar or confusing to much of our audience. I developed a repeatable post format built around three simple questions: What is it? Why does it matter? What can I do? I led the copywriting and content structure for the series, ensuring complex ideas were translated into clear, approachable language and consistently connected to concrete, doable actions participants could take, while collaborating with a part-time designer on graphics.
